Washington, DC — On Monday, November 2, 2026 a clandestine group of underground activists calling themselves the “Capytistas” published a website and data visualization containing previously unreported home addresses connected to Elon Musk and Tesla’s executive management, along with a trove of research connected to Tesla’s institutional investments and the company’s largely secretive supply chain infrastructure.
The group, which formed in 2025, and remained underground during its investigations, stated their efforts began as a response to financial cuts and government regulatory capture by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) but grew in scope to include investigations into a rogues gallery of oligarchs seeking to leverage their wealth to undermine democracy.
“We were gutted to see Musk and his sycophants hollow out agencies that offered life saving foreign aid, care for veterans in need, and support for the arts and humanities,” said an anonymous representative for the activist group. “We were even more disturbed to witness how the oligarch class positioned themselves within the current administration, and to observe first-hand their efforts to undermine democracy. So when our group began working together, we jokingly said we should pick our own cute mascot to counter how DOGE stole and corrupted the Shiba Inu meme. Then, someone suggested a Capybara and we decided to run with it.”
The Capytistas will publish their work in phases focusing on specific oligarchs and their efforts to undermine democracy, capture or cripple governmental regulatory bodies, profit from prisons and deportation flights, and consolidate and capture media institutions. The Capytistas published Phase 1 today and this trove will be added to in the weeks ahead to include thousands of records displayed on individual web pages organized by a user experience they are calling their “Oligarch Navigator.” Some toplines from today’s release as well what can be expected from releases in the weeks ahead include:

- Detailed information and addresses connected to 14 of Tesla’s largest institutional investors holding a total of over 1,001,899,236 shares of TSLA valued at approximately \~$401 billion were published today in Phase 1.
- New information regarding 39 companies comprising Tesla’s largely opaque supply chain infrastructure were published today in Phase 1.
