Fidelity's investments in Tesla
According to SEC 13F reports updated June 30, 2026, Fidelity Investments holds 39,766,224 shares of Tesla (TSLA) valued at nearly $15 billion, making them one of Tesla’s largest institutional investors. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, and with over $16 trillion under administration, Fidelity is one of the largest asset managers in the world. After a spate of controversies in the news over the past few years, Fidelity is presumably hoping to keep their name clean going forward. Let’s make it clear that continuing to hold Tesla stock puts that goal at risk.
Nearly half of all Tesla shares are held by institutional investors like Fidelity. Putting pressure on Fidelity and other top institutional investors to drop Tesla will create a severe short term impact on Tesla’s share price and could trigger a cascade of negative signals and selling pressure in the market causing Tesla’s value to crash.
