Inteva's critical support for Tesla

Founded in 2008 from parts of the former Delphi Corporation, Michigan-based Inteva Products, LLC is a global automotive supplier specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of interior systems, closure systems, and motors and electronics specializing in parts such as instrument panels, overhead systems, and door panels.

Historically, Inteva has supplied interior components such as overhead headliner systems and possibly other interior trim parts for earlier Tesla models like the Model S and Model X. However, Tesla's strategy has consistently moved toward greater vertical integration and supplier consolidation. Over time, many of Tesla’s interior component supply agreements have shifted to other suppliers or been brought in-house, which should make it relatively easy for Inteva to wrap up whatever remaining business they have there.
