Its core project aims to combine spodumene mining, concentration, and lithium hydroxide conversion at a single site to supply battery-grade material to the EV supply chain, emphasizing a domestic source of this critical battery raw material.

In 2025, Tesla contracted Elevra to guarantee them an annual supply of 50,000 metric tons of lithium from the North Carolina mine for the next decade. This deal makes Elevra Lithium essential to Tesla’s battery material security.
