Prony Resources' critical support for Tesla

Prony Resources New Caledonia is a major nickel and cobalt mining and refining company operating the historically significant "Goro" mine and processing plant in the French territorial island, New Caledonia. The company is one of the world's largest producers of battery-grade nickel oxide and a substantial producer of cobalt, both of which are critical metals for lithium-ion battery cathodes.

Prony Resources serves as a key long-term supplier of nickel for Tesla. In 2021, Tesla entered into a multi-year nickel supply agreement with Prony to secure 44,000 tonnes of the metal over a multi-year deal that was extended through 2026. Additionally, Prony advises Tesla on environmental and sustainability standards to help them meet ESG goals.
