Syrah Resources' critical support for Tesla
Syrah Resources Ltd. is an Australian company that operates the Balama graphite mine in Mozambique, one of the world's largest natural graphite deposits. The company processes this natural graphite into Active Anode Material (AAM)—specifically, spherical purified graphite (SPG)—which is the dominant material used in the anodes of lithium-ion batteries.
In 2022, Tesla entered into a binding offtake agreement with Syrah to purchase the majority of the AAM produced at the Vidalia plant (initially 8,000 tonnes per year), making Syrah Tesla’s first ex-China, vertically integrated natural graphite anode supplier.
Listed below is every office location for Syrah Resources. Join us in telling them to stop supplying raw materials to Tesla and its vendors.
